Sofronio Vasquez: From ‘The Voice’ to Upcoming EP with Michael Bublé

Filipino singer and The Voice winner Sofronio Vasquez is making history as an emerging artist with an international fan base. A rising star, Vasquez is working with Michael Bublé to record his debut EP. This fan-anticipated EP will show Vasquez’s artistry, with surprise collaborations. Here’s the scoop:

Filipino singer Sofronio Vasquez acknowledged his late father as the one who helped him rediscover his passion for music. Vasquez received a four-chair turn on Season 26 of The Voice while covering “I’m Goin’ Down” during the Blind Auditions. With Michael Bublé as his coach, Vasquez commanded the stage during the Battle Rounds, Knockouts, and Playoffs. After singing “Who’s Lovin’ You” with Michael Bublé, Vasquez became the first Asian male to win NBC’s The Voice. From the start, Bublé believed in Vasquez and supported his artistic vision.

Released in October 2025, “Maybe This Christmas” is the new single from Sofronio Vasquez featuring Michael Bublé. Vasquez also recorded two new songs. Vasquez also recorded his cover of “Grown Up Christmas List,” a holiday classic composed by David Foster. After coaching Vasquez on The Voice, Michael Bublé joined him in the studio to record his first album. On December 23, Beyond The Voice revealed behind-the-scenes footage of Vasquez’s studio session. This footage also reveals collaborations with two music icons: Grammy-winning music producer David Foster and Bublé’s long-time mentor, Paul Anka.

In December 2025, Vasquez performed “Superman,” a song written by Michael Bublé. A defining chapter, Sofronio Vasquez’s debut EP will include cover songs from The Voice and surprise musical collaborations. Vasquez’s next single, “My Way,” is slated for a 2026 release.
