New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of ringing in the new year with the traditional ball drop and music. The Rockin’ Eve 2022 event will include international performances. Here’s the scoop:

The New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2022 event will air at least five hours of music including featured international performances from some of today’s biggest icons and stars. This year’s headliners are Karol G, LL Cool J, Chlöe, and Journey. They will be performing at Times Square. On December 16, Avril Lavigne (ft. Travis Barker), AJR, and Big Boi were added to the Rockin’ Eve 2022 lineup. And Daddy Yankee, who will perform in Puerto Rico, is going to be featured internationally during this event. Also, Rockin’ Eve 2022 will have the first-ever Spanish New Year’s countdown featuring Roselyn Sanchez in Puerto Rico!

The hosts for Rockin’ Eve 2022 are confirmed: Billy Porter (New Orleans), Ciara (Hollywood/ L.A.), Liza Koshy (Times Square in NYC), and Roselyn Sanchez (Puerto Rico). See the following list of performers:

  • Hollywood/ L.A.: Avril Lavigne ft. Travis Barker, Big Boi ft. Sleepy Brown, OneRepublic, Walker Hayes, Masked Wolf, Macklemore, Don Omar, AJR, French Montana, Mae Muller, Polo G, Måneskin
  • New Orleans: Billy Porter (new single and project TBA) …
  • Times Square**: KAROL G, LL Cool J, Chlöe, Journey (band)

The Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2022 event will air Friday, December 31, 2021 on ABC at 8:00 PM/ 7:00 PM CST (central). Stay tuned for more updates.

Rising K-Pop stars BTS to perform at Rockin Eve 2018

For BTS, 2017 has been a very successful year. BTS is making history as the first K-Pop group to perform live at New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Here’s the scoop:

BTS is a group of multi-talented singers and performers. BTS achieved international fame with their upbeat music, high-energy choreography routines, and dynamic stage presence. The official YouTube video for BTS’ “DNA” has 220M views and 3M likes. BTS’ “DNA” is featured on Love Yourself: Her. This album peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 charts. Also, BTS and Steve Aoki’s “Mic Drop” collaboration reached No. 4 on YouTube Trending. Now, the “Mic Drop” YouTube video has 98M views and 3M likes.

BTS, who has 11.5 million Twitter followers, is a Rockin’ Eve 2018 performer. BTS is the first K-Pop group to perform at New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
