The Voice winner Chris Blue to be honored at 4th of July weekend

Chris Blue will be honored during the July 4th weekend. Here’s the scoop:

During Season 12 of The Voice, Chris Blue performed as an artist on Team Alicia. He auditioned with “The Tracks of My Tears” by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. Throughout Chris’s journey, he has received support from his fans as well as the Knoxville community. Also, Chris Blue’s “Take Me to the King” performance was featured on YouTube’s trending list. After winning The Voice, Chris received a $100,000 prize and a record deal with Universal Music Group.

Chris Blue will be honored on Saturday, July 1 in Knoxville. The Knoxville community will congratulate Chris on his success and The Voice win. This 4th of July weekend event will feature music from the Airlifter Brass band as well as the Brass Quintet of the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America. The concert starts at 5:00pm, while the recognition ceremony will take place from 7:00-9:00pm. People of all ages are welcome. Chris Blue will also speak with his fans. See the tweet below:

Chris Blue sang “Take Me to the King” during the semifinals. Tamela Mann recorded this song, which peaked at the #1 position on Billboard‘s gospel charts. Chris’s performance featured colorful lighting, an artistic visual, and backup singers. Today, this video is #45 on YouTube’s trending list. Chris Blue’s performance has over 739,257 YouTube views.

“Take Me to the King” is about a person who seeks God’s healing. “I’ve made my decision to run to You, the healer that I need,” Chris sang. Chris delivered each lyric of the song with emotional depth. Also, the artistic visual displayed a colorful sky with clouds.

Next week, Chris Blue will be featured in The Voice finale. Tune in at 8/ 7c next Monday to see Chris perform in the finale. On Tuesday, the season 12 winner will be named.

NBC’s The Voice has revealed the season 12 finalists. Here’s the scoop:

Carson Daly named Chris Blue, Lauren Duski, and Aliyah Moulden the first three finalists. Then Hunter Plake, Brennley Brown, and Jesse Larson sang for the Instant Save. Only one singer can receive the Instant Save. Hunter Plake sang OneRepublic’s “Love Runs Out”. Brennley Brown sang “Warrior” by Demi Lovato. Jesse Larson sang “Tennessee Whiskey” by David Allan Coe. Carson Daly announced that Jesse Larson received the Instant Save. By receiving the Instant Save, Jesse became the fourth finalist.

Chris Blue is on Team Alicia. Chris sang “The Tracks of My Tears” by The Miracles. Chris received the final spot on The Voice‘s twelfth season. Alicia Keys was impressed by Chris Blue’s technicality. “How did you learn all those tricks, man?” Alicia asked Chris during his audition. Alicia stated that she was looking for a bluesy, soulful artist like him.

Lauren Duski is on Team Blake. She sang “You Were Meant For Me” by Jewel. She impressed Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, and Blake Shelton during her blind audition. Adam said that Lauren brought something new to this song. “It would be the most refreshing thing in this show’s history for someone like you to win The Voice,” Adam Levine expressed. “You’re someone who can clearly win this thing,” Blake predicted.

Jesse Larson is on Team Adam. He sang “Jealous Guy” by John Lennon. “The way you sing and the way you play… It’s the coolest thing I’ve heard in my entire life,” Adam Levine expressed. Adam added that, in this song, he heard CeeLo Green and Eddie Van Halen. Then, Adam Levine predicted that Jesse could win the entire competition.

Aliyah Moulden is on Team Blake. She sang “Hound Dog” by Big Mama Thornton. She impressed Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, and Blake Shelton during the blind auditions.
“You have so much power and energy in your vocals,” Blake Shelton said. “By the end of this show, you’re going to be blossoming in a way that you never imagined,” Alicia added.

NBC’s The Voice will air its season finale on Mondays and Tuesdays. Tune in at 8/ 7c next Monday to see the finalists perform. On Tuesday, the season 12 winner will be named.

NBC’s The Voice revealed the season 12 semifinalists. Here’s the scoop:

First, Carson Daly introduced Maren Morris to the stage. “She’s a Grammy-winning country star and the reigning CMA new artist of the year,” Carson said. Then, Maren Morris sang “I Could Use a Love Song” while playing a white Gibson acoustic guitar. Maren’s emotional vocals and acoustic guitar shined throughout this performance.

Then, The Voice aired a heartwarming Mother’s Day clip. In this exclusive feature, the top 10 singers expressed love and support towards their mothers. TSoul said that his love of making people happy came from his mother. Lauren Duski expressed that she “hit the mother jackpot”. Hunter Plake said that his mother is patient and kind. Chris Blue expressed that his mother is strong and a hard worker.

The Mother’s Day clip also featured the team coaches. Adam Levine admitted that he was a “difficult child”. Alicia Keys added that she enjoys being a mother. She said that “being a mother means being a warrior”. Gwen Stefani said that her mother helped develop her love of fashion. “She used to take me to the fabric store,” Gwen added.

Carson Daly mentioned that all ten singers landed the iTunes top 100 charts. He added that Hunter Plake’s (#9) and Lauren Duski (#10) landed in the iTunes top 10 charts. Carson Daly named Aliyah Moulden and Chris Blue as the first two semifinalists. Lauren Duski, Hunter Plake, Jesse Larson, and Brennley Brown were also named semifinalists.

Carson Daly introduced Charlie Puth, a multi-platinum recording artist and producer. He performed “Attention”, an upbeat song with high energy. This performance featured dancers and bright red lighting. Then, Carson brought the remaining four singers to the stage. Carson Daly announced that TSoul is the next semifinalist.

Lilli Passero, Mark Isaiah, and Vanessa Ferguson sang for the Instant Save. Onstage, Carson Daly said that all three are incredible artists. Lilli Passero sang “Stormy Weather” by Etta James. Mark Isaiah sang “Sorry” by Justin Bieber. Vanessa Ferguson sang “For Once in My Life” by Stevie Wonder. All singers showcased their artistry and grace.

Carson Daly announced that Vanessa Ferguson received the Instant Save. By receiving the Instant Save, Vanessa became the last semifinalist.

On Tuesday, NBC’s The Voice revealed season 12’s top 10. Here’s the scoop:

Before the top 10 were revealed, Alisan Porter performed “Deep Water” live. Alisan Porter won The Voice‘s tenth season. She was on Team Christina, which means that she worked with Christina Aguilera. Alisan sported a teal outfit with subtle makeup while singing this powerful song. Alisan Porter also tweeted about “Deep Water” to her fans:

Also, season 12’s top 11 performed on stage. Team Gwen performed Coldplay’s “Fix You”. Team Alicia performed Aretha Franklin’s “A Natural Woman”. Then, Carson Daly said that the following singers were safe: Brennley Brown, Hunter Plake, Lilli Passero, TSoul, Vanessa Ferguson, Chris Blue, Aliyah Moulden, Jesse Larson, and Lauren Duski.

Then, Stephanie Rice and Mark Isaiah sang for the Instant Save. First, Stephanie Rice performed “Issues” by Julia Michaels. Alicia Keys praised Stephanie’s artistry before adding that she is a talented producer who plays multiple instruments. Second, Mark Isaiah performed “7 Years” by Lukas Graham.
