One of Nickelodeon’s most-watched programs, the Kids’ Choice Awards, celebrates the achievements of today’s rising film, television, and music stars. This year’s leading nominees include Wicked, Lady Gaga, and Selena Gomez. Sabrina Carpenter received four Kids’ Choice Awards nods. Here’s the scoop:

With eight Kids’ Choice Awards nominations, Wicked is this year’s leading nominee. Wicked is nominated for Favorite Movie and Favorite Album (Wicked: The Soundtrack). Wicked cast members Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh are nominated for the Favorite Villain category. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo received Kids’ Choice Awards nods for Favorite Movie Actress. “Defying Gravity” and “Popular” are nominated for this year’s Favorite Song from a Movie category.

Lady Gaga has four Kids’ Choice Awards nominations, including Favorite Female Artist. Mayhem is nominated for Favorite Album, and “Abracadabra” (Mayhem single) is nominated for Favorite Song. “Die with a Smile”, featuring Bruno Mars, is nominated for Favorite Music Collaboration. Bruno Mars is nominated for the Favorite Global Music Star and Favorite Male Artist categories.

Selena Gomez received four Kids’ Choice Awards nods, including Favorite Female Artist. Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, and Lady Gaga also received nominations for the Favorite Female Artist category. I said I love you first is nominated for Favorite Album, and two singles from this album are also nominated. “Call Me When You Break Up” is nominated for Favorite Music Collaboration. “Bluest Flame” is nominated for Favorite Viral Song.

Sabrina Carpenter also received four Kids’ Choice Awards nominations, including Favorite Female Breakout Artist. Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet is nominated for the Favorite Album category. “Please Please Please” (featuring Dolly Parton) is nominated for Favorite Music Collaboration. Emma Myers, Jenna Ortega, Millie Bobby Brown, and Winona Ryder are also 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards nominees.

Tyla, a South African pop singer, is hosting Nickelodeon’s 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards. It will air live from Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar on June 21 at 8 PM ET/PT.

Lady Gaga’s ‘Mayhem’ soars to No. 1 on Billboard

A singer-songwriter and pop icon, Lady Gaga appeared as a musical guest and host on SNL. Gaga performed “Abracadabra”, a lead single on Mayhem, wearing custom outfits designed by Luar. Lady Gaga’s SNL performance featured her signature vocals, in-sync choreography, special effects, and lighting. Gaga wrote ‘Abracadabra’ and, in a Rolling Stone interview, Andrew Watt revealed that Gaga’s songwriting process usually starts with a piano:

Lady Gaga’s Mayhem officially dropped on March 7, 2025. Gaga is a co-producer on this album, which includes electronic, rock, and pop sounds. Mayhem figuratively explores themes of self-expression, fame, love, and transformation. Mayhem is number one on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Dance charts. Four Mayhem singles are in the Top 5 of Billboard‘s Dance Charts: No. 1, “Abracadabra” (No.1 for four weeks), “Garden of Eden” (#3), “Vanish Into You” (#4), and “Disease” (#5). Lady Gaga’s fiance co-wrote “Disease”.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper sang as a duet. Their spontaneous performance featured an acoustic guitar, bright lights, and classical strings. During this performance, Lady Gaga played the piano. A team of writers including Mark Ronson helped create “Shallow”, an Oscar-winning composition. This year, “Shallow” won the Oscar for Best Original Song. Hunter Plake sang his rendition of “Elastic Heart” by Sia during The Voice‘s live playoffs. Today, this video landed the #17 and #18 positions on YouTube’s trending list. It is featured in the Top 20 on YouTube Trending. Also, Hunter’s performance has over 423,000 YouTube views. In less than 24 hours, this viral video is approaching 500,000 YouTube views.

Hunter Plake’s “Elastic Heart” cover is #15 on the iTunes pop charts. Today, he is in the top 15 with Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. Also, Hunter Plake’s “I Want to Know What Love Is” cover is #24 on the iTunes pop charts. Hunter Plake, Ed Sheeran, and Shawn Mendes are listed in this order on today’s pop charts. Hunter is featured in iTunes as a trending search topic.

The Voice reveals Season 12’s Top 20, Coach Comebacks

NBC’s The Voice has revealed season 12’s top 20 singers. Next week, four singers will come back to join The Voice‘s top 20. Here’s the scoop:

Last Monday, The Voice aired their final knockout rounds. Now, only 20 singers remain in season 12’s television program. Click here to see who was eliminated. Here is the official list of The Voice‘s top 20 singers:

  • Team Adam: Mark Isaiah, Jesse Larson, Lilli Passero, Josh West, Hanna Eyre
  • Team Blake: Lauren Duski, Aliyah Moulden, Casi Joy, Aaliyah Rose, TSoul
  • Team Gwen: JChosen, Brennley Brown, Quizz Swanigan, Troy Ramey, Hunter Plake
  • Team Alicia: Anatalia Villaranda, Stephanie Rice, Ashley Levin, Vanessa Ferguson, Chris Blue

NBC’s The Voice will air the live playoffs on April 17. Four singers received the Coach Comebacks and will return to the show:

Johnny Hayes will return to Team Adam. Johnny’s performances consistently showcase his signature bluesy sound and stage presence. During The Voice‘s knockout rounds, Johnny sang his soulful rendition of The Allman Brothers Band’s “Statesboro Blues”. The audience clapped along, and Alicia Keys was also moved. Johnny Hayes auditioned for season 11 before trying again this season. His story proves that persistence and faith are key ingredients towards success.

Johnny Gates will return to Team Gwen. Before The Voice, Johnny worked with Nathan Chapman and opened for Rod Stewart. Johnny Gates showcases his stage presence and signature contemporary blues-rock sound. During The Voice‘s knockouts, Johnny delivered a moving performance of Lady Gaga’s “Million Reasons”. This performance featured Johnny’s effortless vocal runs. Johnny’s “Million Reasons” cover shined because of his technicality and stage presence.

Jack Cassidy will return to Team Alicia. Jack’s signature sound wowed the coaches. For Jack, the art of performance runs in the family. Patrick Cassidy is his father and Shirley Jones is his grandmother. At 7, Jack joined his father on tour. During high school, Jack sang with children in mission trips. Also, Jack’s collaboration with Hunter Plake landed the top 10 iTunes charts. While Jack sang his cover of “Unsteady” by the X Ambassadors, the audience clapped along. This performance showcased his technicality and growth as a recording artist.

Felicia Temple will return to Team Blake. For Felicia, music runs in the family. Felicia’s father toured with the Sugarhill Gang. Since childhood, Felicia played piano and learned sheet music. “Felicia Keys” was her nickname in school. Last June, Felicia was diagnosed with carcinoid cancer. As a cancer survivor, Felicia channels her life experience and technicality through music. Felicia’s powerful rendition of “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion moved the coaches and audience.
