Joey Alexander to perform at Dizzy’s Club from October 1-3

In October 2021, Grammy-nominated jazz pianist Joey Alexander will be performing at Dizzy’s Club—located inside New York’s Lincoln Center. Here’s the scoop:

Seven years ago, Joey Alexander debuted as a talented jazz instrumentalist. He has performed at the GRAMMYs and landed on several Billboard charts (My Favorite Things and Countdown peaked at No. 1 on Billboard 200 as well as the Traditional Jazz Albums charts). Warna peaked at #20 on the Billboard 200. Also, Joey Alexander’s music is featured on Legion of Peace, a Lori Henriques Quintet album.

Now, Joey Alexander will be performing two exclusive shows with his band at Dizzy’s Club on October 1, October 2, and October 3. Kelly Clarkson to host 2020 BBMAs, Garth Brooks to receive Icon Award

Kelly Clarkson is going to host the 2020 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs). Garth Brooks will also receive the Icon Award. Here’s the scoop:

Kelly Clarkson is a popular award-winning singer/ songwriter. Clarkson currently has a Las Vegas residency and hosts her own television show, The Kelly Clarkson Show. Kelly Clarkson will be hosting the 2020 Billboard Music Awards. This year is Clarkson’s third consecutive year of hosting the show. Last year, she performed “Broken & Beautiful” from the UglyDolls movie. In 2018, Clarkson received the Radio Disney Music Icon Award. Also, Billboard stated that Clarkson is “one of pop music’s greatest singers”. Throughout her career, Clarkson landed more than one hundred No. 1 hits on Billboard’s music charts.

After Kelly Clarkson was asked about her thoughts on hosting the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, she responded with great enthusiasm:

“I’m thrilled to be back with my Billboard family,” Kelly Clarkson said. “I love being part of an event that celebrates our greatest artists and entertains our fans. This a night of music that you won’t want to miss!”

GRAMMY®-winning artist Garth Brooks will be receiving the Icon Award during this year’s telecast. As a record-breaking country superstar, Brooks has made history. Nine of his albums are diamond-certified in the U.S., including Double Live (which is 21x platinum). Brooks has also received 17 American Music Awards and sold over 170 million records. The 2020 Billboard Music Awards is set to take place in Las Vegas. It will also air live at Las Vegas’s MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 29 at 5:00PM on NBC. Stay tuned for more updates.

Charlie Wilson announces sold-out date on Forever Valentine concert

Charlie Wilson will be performing an exclusive Forever Valentine concert. He announced that one of the dates is already sold out. Here’s the scoop:

Charlie Wilson recently performed “Forever Valentine” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with an upbeat band and backup dancers. Also, Charlie Wilson worked with Bruno Mars on “Forever Valentine”. Bruno Mars helped write Charlie Wilson’s latest single, “Forever Valentine”, with The Stereotypes (who co-wrote “That’s What I Like”) and D’Mile. Mars also sang background vocals on the track. Bruno Mars and Charlie Wilson tweeted about the song’s message of love:

Also, “Forever Valentine” is Wilson’s highest debut to date. It landed at #12 on Billboard‘s Adult R&B songs chart in 2 weeks. See below:

Multi-Grammy winning composer John Williams to perform at Hollywood Bowl

Multi-Grammy winning composer John Williams will be performing at the Hollywood Bowl. Here’s the scoop:

John Williams is a legendary composer and maestro of the movies. Williams won 24 Grammy awards, 7 British Academy Film awards, 5 Academy awards and 4 Golden Globe awards. Williams has composed some of the most recognizable film scores that people may recall from their childhood. Williams’ outstanding film scores are featured in a long list of movies including Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

In addition, Williams composed several film scores for Steven Spielberg’s films including Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The Close Encounters of the Third Kind theme peaked at No. 13 on Billboard‘s adult contemporary charts. Williams’ career spans over sixty years, and he is inducted in Hollywood Bowl’s Hall of Fame.

This year, John Williams is celebrating the 40th anniversary of his official debut at the Hollywood Bowl. His upcoming performance will feature his most popular film scores. In addition, some of the cinematic selections will feature film scenes playing in the background.

John Williams will perform at the Hollywood Bowl on August 31, 2018 starting at 8:00pm, September 1, 2018 starting at 8:00pm, and September 2, 2018 starting at 7:30pm. Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic has reached 4 billion global streams. Mars’ single, “24k Magic”, is certified by the RIAA as a four-time platinum single. Also, “Versace on the Floor” is a certified platinum single. Atlantic Records tweeted to congratulate Mars on his success:

Bruno Mars is nominated in a total of eight categories. Mars joins Drake, Kendrick Lamar, The Chainsmokers, and Ed Sheeran as Artist of the Year nominees. Mars also joins Drake and Ed Sheeran as Favorite Pop/ Rock Male Artist nominees.
