The Super Bowl is the biggest football game of the year. Each year, millions of football fans tune in across the country. Last year, Peyton Manning led the Denver Broncos to victory and defeated the Carolina Panthers. According to Nielsen.com, Super Bowl 50 attracted 111.9 million television viewers and 16.9 million tweets.
This year, the New England Patriots will face off against the Atlanta Falcons. Here’s the scoop:
First, let’s talk about the New England Patriots. Super Bowl LI is their ninth Super Bowl appearance. Quarterback Tom Brady set a record for most all-time appearances. This year, Brady makes his 7th Super Bowl appearance. With a score of 16-2, the Patriots became AFC champions. The Patriots have won 9 consecutive games. To add, Tom Brady’s all-time score against Atlanta is 4-0.
Second, let’s discuss the Atlanta Falcons. This year marks their second Super Bowl appearance. They have not been featured at the Super Bowl since 1999. The Falcons became NFC champions with a score of 13-5. The Falcons have won 6 consecutive games. Also, they led the NFL scoring (33.8). They also ranked second in yards per game in 2016 by reaching a total amount of 415.8 yards.

It also demonstrates the rapid advancement of technology in the 21st century.
T-Mobile’s #UnlimitedMoves commercial is buzzing on social media right now, and it has over 6.1 million views on YouTube. It features Justin Bieber, Rob Gronkowski, and Terrell Owens. In the commercial, Bieber talks about how people celebrate football touchdowns while select cast members demonstrate their dance moves. Then he joins the all-star dance party.
Justin Bieber posted this tweet to inform fans of his new commercial feature. He tweeted, “My #SuperBowl commercial w/ @TMobile. Let’s go!! Let me see those #UnlimitedMoves https://youtu.be/Kg_4tX4XwI8“. If you post your touchdown dance to Twitter using the hashtag #UnlimitedMoves, then you could be retweeted by Justin Bieber.
Kia’s “Hero’s Journey” ad is also trending, and it has 3.4 million views on YouTube. Melissa McCarthy experiences challenges as an eco-warrior in the commercial. She is on a mission to save the planet. Melissa attempts to protect whales, save trees, and save ice caps. Luckily, the Kia Niro protects her from harm as a smarter crossover vehicle.
Melissa McCarthy expressed that she enjoyed the #KiaNiro commercial feature. She posted this tweet to inform her fans about the commercial feature. “The freezing temps, bumps & running for my life were worth it. My big @Kia Niro ad is now LIVE! #smarterway #sponsor,” McCarthy tweeted.
Six-time Grammy winner Lady Gaga will headline this year’s Super Bowl halftime show. She sang the national anthem at Super Bowl 50. She talked with FOX anchors Michael Strahan and Curt Menefee about her Super Bowl appearances. Lady Gaga told the anchors that she cried after finding out that she will headline the Super Bowl 51 halftime show. Since Gaga was 4 years old, she has been planning her Super Bowl halftime performance.
“For me it’s all about giving to the fans and bringing people together that wouldn’t normally come together,” Gaga expressed. “The thing is… it’s such a big world stage… it’s been done so many times, I think the challenge is to look at it and say, you know, ‘what can I do differently? How can I can elevate certain things here and there and also make it about the music? I really want to sing for everyone. That was the best part of doing the national anthem last year.”
Then Strahan and Menefee agreed that Gaga’s rendition of the national anthem was phenomenal. Lady Gaga told them that she rehearsed a lot for the performance. This proves that hard work and rehearsals are key elements of success in the industry. Lady Gaga’s interview with Strahan and Menefee ended on a high note with mutual respect.
