With 600M+ views in one week, Sony Pictures’ second Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer is now the second-biggest trailer launch of all time. The Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie is set four years after Peter Parker protects the multiverse by asking Doctor Strange to erase everyone’s memories of him. This film trailer shows a glimpse of Peter Parker’s life in isolation, as nobody recognizes him anymore. This loneliness directly transforms Parker’s character, as he starts to lose control of his powers and his eyes become black. Because of this transformation, Peter becomes the only one who can sense the new threat and levels of gamma radiation. This trailer is dominating social media.
In this trailer, Peter Parker says: “I’m losing my mind. I am totally out of control. I got to fix whatever this is right now.”
The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailers reveal a couple of easter eggs and details, including Tom Holland’s new Spiderman suit. First, Michael Mando’s Scorpion makes a fan-anticipated return after appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming. This is confirmed through one trailer clip, which shows Scorpion’s stinger in front of Peter Parker’s face. Another detail is shown in class when Parker talks with Bruce Banner, who shows a gamma suppressor on his wrist. Also, one mysterious character wears a hoodie. This character is speculated to be the MCU’s Jean Grey, played by Sadie Sink. Finally, Tom Holland’s new Spiderman suit has green lights, which are speculated to create gamma webs while fighting the Hulk.
