Powerhouse vocalist Brennley Brown is a standout on season 12 of NBC’s The Voice. This week, her “Up to the Mountain” performance is trending on YouTube. Here’s the scoop:
Brennley Brown sang a moving rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s “Up to the Mountain”. The video of Brennley’s performance now has over 381,000 YouTube views. On April 5, it landed the #42 position on YouTube’s trending list. Throughout the song, Brennley’s technicality and vocal control shined brightly. Brennley created the atmosphere of a live concert. She blew the coaches away, especially Alicia Keys. During Brennley’s performance, Alicia Keys said “what?” because she was in awe. This memorable performance earned a roar of applause from the audience.
Brennley Brown is a talented singer and performer. Since Brennley was a little girl, she listened to a list of country artists that include Willie Nelson and Faith Hill. Also, Brennley performed in school talent shows, where she always threw her pink cowgirl hat to the audience. At 15, Brennley stands out by showcasing her country powerhouse vocals and performance skills on NBC’s The Voice.
Yesterday, Brennley’s “Up to the Mountain” cover landed the #20 position of the iTunes country charts. Brennley joins Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, and Reba McEntire in the top 25. She tweeted to share the news with her fans:
Brennley Brown and Aaliyah Rose were featured together in this season 12 knockout round. Aaliyah sang her rendition of “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” by Meghan Trainor, her inspiration. Both singers showcased their passion towards performing live on a stage.
After they sang, Gwen Stefani named the winner of this knockout round: Brennley Brown.
Apple Valley native Brennley Brown advanced to the live playoffs round. Blake Shelton stole Aaliyah Rose, which means that she is a new member of his team. Nobody was eliminated during this knockout round.
