Rising star Mandy Harvey is a pop and jazz singer. She started singing at 4 years of age. At 18, Harvey lost her hearing due to a connective tissue disorder. Harvey discovered a new way to channel her voice through muscle memory, using visual tuners, and trusting her pitch. Also, she performs without shoes to keep track of the rhythm by feeling the floor’s vibrations. Harvey earned a standing ovation after singing the radio-friendly “Try”, her original piece, on America’s Got Talent. Then Simon Cowell pushed the Golden Buzzer, which sent Mandy Harvey straight to the live shows. Cowell said that Harvey’s performance was one of the most amazing things that he had heard. Now, Mandy Harvey’s audition has 18,359,547 YouTube views.
