The 60th Grammys took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Bruno Mars was nominated in six categories and won six Grammy awards. Mars, the leading winner of the night, took home awards for the biggest categories. Here’s the scoop:

Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic received six Grammy nominations: Album of the Year, Best R&B Album, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B song, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. Mars’ album won two Grammy awards for Album of the Year and Best R&B Album.

When Mars walked onstage to accept the Album of the Year award, he shared about his excitement performing live at the age of 15 in Hawaii. Mars mentioned that the songs he sang then were written by Babyface, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Teddy Riley. Mars stated that these songwriters helped inspire him to record 24k Magic, his latest album.

Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” and “24k Magic” also received Grammy nominations. First, “That’s What I Like” won three Grammy awards for Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, and Song of the Year. Second, “24k Magic” won the Grammy award for Record of the Year. After this exciting moment, Mars tweeted the following message to his fans:
