Legendary recording artist Eddie Daniels is a six-time GRAMMY nominee.  Here’s the scoop:

Eddie Daniels received GRAMMY nominations for Breakthrough, To Bird With Love, Benny Rides Again, and “Bridges”—a small ensemble performance. Also, To Bird With Love received nominations in two categories: Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Soloist and Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Group. Daniels plays jazz music on the clarinet while showcasing his technicality.

On December 7, The Recording Academy announced Daniels’ sixth nomination. Heart of Brazil is nominated in the Best Latin Jazz Album category. Heart of Brazil, Daniels’ latest album with Resonance Records, is a tribute to Egberto Gismonti. The album’s cover is a painting created by Calixto Sales. The track list includes “Tango Nova” and “Lôro (Parrot)”, featuring Josh Nelson on piano.

During this project’s recording sessions, Daniels’ ensemble exemplifies musical unity and teamwork in the creation of completed songs. Heart of Brazil is filled with a diversified array of authentic tracks that blend artistic technicality, synergy, and the soulful essence of Latin Jazz. Each recording captures musical moments that embody the spirit of joy.
