Multi-Grammy winning songwriter and recording artist Alicia Keys is hosting the 61^st GRAMMYs. Here’s the scoop:

Alicia Keys is hosting the 61st GRAMMYs. The Recording Academy confirmed that the “Girl on Fire” singer will host this show on Twitter:

Alicia Keys is excited to host the 61^st GRAMMYs. As a 15-time GRAMMY winner, Keys shared her thoughts on hosting as well as using her voice to empower other artists and channel “sister vibes” on music’s biggest night.

“I know what it feels like to be on that stage and I know what it feels like to be proud of the work that you’ve put in and to be recognized for it… and I just feel grateful that I’m able to bring that light and that energy,” Keys responded.

Keys continued, “This is a first, you know? This is a first and it’s amazing. I think it’s perfect timing. Honestly, I’m really excited! I feel really good about it because it’s the perfect opportunity for me to give the light back, lift people up… especially all the young women that are nominated. Like, to me, it feels like sister vibes.”

The 61^st GRAMMYs will take place on February 10, 2019. It will air on CBS at 8 p.m. EST, or 5 p.m. PST. On February 8, Dolly Parton will be named the MusiCares Person of the Year. With 8 nods, Kendrick Lamar is the leading GRAMMYs nominee. Click here for more information.
