On February 6, 2019, rising stars Streetlight Cadence performed at the GRAMMY Museum. We watched this group perform live and captured the exclusive highlights. Here is a quick recap of their performance:
Streetlight Cadence is an international alternative-folk-pop band with a memorable stage presence. This dynamic group of friends is dedicated to music and performing live. Here are the band members:
Jonathon Franklin—vocals, violin, guitar**
Brian Webb—vocals, songwriter, cellist
Jesse Shiroma—vocals, accordion
Benjamin Chai—vocals, guitar, drums
Rising stars Streetlight Cadence delivered an incredible performance on the rooftop at the GRAMMY Museum. During this show, Jonathon sang, played the guitar** and violin. This four-piece group moved the crowd with their upbeat songs and energetic stage presence. They received a standing ovation.
Jonathon, Brian, Jesse, and Benjamin formed this four-piece group after discovering their shared love of music. Streetlight Cadence began their journey in college as street performers in Hawaii. By performing live music for tourists in Honolulu, the group was able to pay for their groceries and books.
Now, the members of Streetlight Cadence are college graduates and professional musicians. Also, this group has performed at the Blue Note Hawaii several times. Click here to see pictures from their live show.

From sidewalks to world-renowned venues, Streetlight Cadence’s story exemplifies teamwork while proving anything is possible with persistence.
“We just want to thank you guys for all the love and support you’ve given us just to continue doing this. It means the world to us. We really, really don’t take it for granted,” Jonathon told the applauding crowd. “The next song is called ‘Thinking of You’… It’s one of the first songs we threw out there…”
