The Hollywood Walk of Fame has over 2,000 stars celebrating famous entertainers, actors, and singers. It features a diverse list of people including Michael Jackson, Idina Menzel, Ann Blyth, Herb Alpert, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Audrey Hepburn, and Lucille Ball (2 stars). Lupita Sanchez-Cornejo, chairman of the board at Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, delivered the initial welcoming speech while including all fans watching the online live stream of this historic event. Then, she introduced Kelly Clarkson to the cheering audience. Kelly Clarkson’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star, unveiled yesterday, is the 2733rd star to ever be made.
“I changed my flight just so I could be here! I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Your talent, your tenacity, your grace, your dignity made season 1 (of American Idol) all worth it. […] I love you. Thank you for changing the trajectory of my life and making me believe… that young, talented can make it and they can make it big time,” Paula Abdul shared.
Jason Halbert, Simon Cowell, and Paula Abdul attended this historic event to honor Kelly Clarkson. Randy Jackson also appeared to support Clarkson. They both gave speeches and shared their experiences of working with the star. Kelly Clarkson talked about the importance of being surrounded by caring people that tell you the truth and thanked all her fans and supporters. L.A. City Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell also shared his positive thoughts on the iconic pop singer and talk show host. Kelly Clarkson took photos with daughter River Rose and son Remington after her Walk of Fame star was revealed.
Kelly Clarkson’s star is located on 6801 Hollywood Boulevard. Her star is displayed on the same street as other famous A-list celebrities like Simon Cowell, Sandra Bullock, Jackie Chan, and Celine Dion.
